Hi all!
Progress on art for the game has been going well, and I wanted to showcase one artist this month: Satra, who has been doing some character art for the book. Here are some of the illustrations they've done so far!
My priority for the rest of the month is going to be getting the Enemies section of the book in order. The playtesting shows that I haven't quite got the balance right on monsters yet - many are easily shut down by player abilities, which can be frustrating for a GM. I have some of my own ideas as to how I can make the enemies better, but I'm open to feedback and suggestions in the comments as well.
The Backerkit survey is at 85% complete, but I have nearly all of the creative tier responses back. I've emailed the last person I'm waiting on and have been working on the new Kingdoms and Characters. The characters above are from the desolate rocky demon spires of Sword's Rest and the magical cherry blossom forest of Sakurandria, and I've got some other really cool submissions including a necromancer kingdom, a naval kingdom and a city mashed up with the interdimensional shopping channel. Prosperity will be included of course, as will Ettin's kingdom of Gerkin where people from our world have created their own Little Earth with all their favourite comforts from home.
I'm hoping to have the early access PDF out by the next update, so please look forward to it!

Hello everyone!
Hope you've all been well. I'm starting off this update with a major milestone: the book cover art is now complete! Please have a look at the amazing work that Lime has done on this:
It has a really classic light novel look to it, right? I wanted to see the characters from the original cover redesigned and some new friends included (including this great mascot type character with a giant backpack), and I think Lime has done an incredible job with it.
Over the last few weeks I've put out a few tier-specific updates to show creative backers some examples of what I'd like them to submit. I've had good uptake on the Backerkit surveys since then, which are now 80% complete with a lot of characters, kingdoms, dungeons and enemies included. I've commissioned a new artist to help with backer characters and the first drafts are looking good, so I'm looking forward to sharing those in the next few updates!
If you do know anyone who missed out on the Kickstarter campaign, I have now also opened a pre-order store for physical copies through Backerkit. Please note that this only gets you a print copy and not a PDF! The digital release will happen later on through the usual platforms (itch, DriveThruRPG) and will be a separate product to the core version of the game. The core version will continue to get rules tweaks, but none of the new content that is going into the Definitive Edition.
If you're a backer getting a print copy you might be concerned after the US tariff announcements, so I wanted to provide some extra details about my fulfillment plans. I'm based in Australia and plan to have the books printed locally, and as it's not too big of a print run I'll be handling the distribution myself. For the 55% of my print backers who do live in the United States, the current advice is that books are exempt from the new tariffs. The situation could change, but for now I would say that of the Kickstarters you're waiting on, my relatively small softcover book isn't one you should be too worried about.
Final note: we've just wrapped up a short campaign of This World Summons Too Many Heroes!! on Ettin's Twitch stream with him as the GM and myself, Arraxis Denacia, Melanie Bell and Freyja Valentine as players. You can check out the VODs on Ettin's channel here.
